This poster is part of Black Lives Matter Black Women Are Divine campaign. This campaign was created after the Breonna Taylor verdict, which devastated the Black community. Artists created posters that would be part of a care package sent to 100s of Black women and femmes across Turtle Island. I chose water as my imagery as it is used in many teachings and ceremonies in both the Caribbean and Afro Indigenous culture. Water is recognized as feminine medicine/ element.
